Ricky is an Aboriginal Health Researcher, with over 12 years’ experience at the Baker IDI Central Australia. He has worked in Aboriginal health research since 2005.

Ricky is interested in research that will improve the efficacy of health system to benefit all Australians. He would like to see more Aboriginal health researchers become engaged in understanding the health of their communities. Over time, he aims to become a research scientist with his own program of Aboriginal health research focusing on reducing chronic disease complications in the Aboriginal population.

Ricky has served as an elected director of the local Aboriginal Medical Service Congress and chaired the Research Sub-committee. This role included assessing new research proposals and translating existing research outcomes and recommendations to improve the overall scope and performance of the health service.
