Biography

Tamara Riley is a Wiradjuri woman with family ties to Wellington, NSW. Tamara is a Veterinarian with experience in public health, biosecurity and One Health policy. She is currently undertaking a Masters of Philosophy in Applied Epidemiology (MAE) within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Program at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health at the ANU.  

Tamara completed a Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney, and has since completed the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources Graduate program, a Professional Certificate of Indigenous Research, Melbourne Poche Centres Leadership Fellows Program, and a Graduate Diploma of Government. Tamara's research focuses on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing, with specific focus on child health, chronic disease, One Health, and animal health and management in Australia and internationally.
