Bernard is a Gumbaynggirr, Dhunghutti, Bungalung Man residing in the Gumbaynggirr Nation.
I am a creative artist and interpreter of cultural understanding with lived experience in the Community Health sector, criminal justice and Stolen Generation workforce. My lived experience gives me the ability to support and listen to my people the best way I can and remain deeply connected to my place of belonging in Gumbaynggirr Wajaarr.
My passion is connection with country and being a role model for my 13 year old daughter whilst maintaining a sense of purpose for my own goals and visions to be achieved. My consultancy is based around Shadow Work (Dawaandi) which is a cultural practice that I have been sharing with community through community grant opportunities.
My vision is to bring common sense back to society with solutions that work for all of humanity and serve my ancestors with Respect, Humility, Dignity and Integrity.
