Maddie Hudson-Buhagiar

Madelyne (Maddie) Hudson-Buhagiar is a proud Wiradjuri woman. She grew up on Bundjalung Country and has lived on Wurundjeri Country for the past 11 years. Maddie is a clinical psychologist, working alongside adult community members at the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service (VAHS) in Preston. She is also a Senior Lecturer in the Wurru Wurru Health Unit at The University of Melbourne.
Maddie is committed to providing culturally safe, trauma-informed psychological services that are responsive to the needs of the local community. Grounded in First Nations knowledges and community-led approaches, her practice prioritises healing, empowerment, and holistic well-being. Her teaching and research focus on equipping health professional students with the skills to provide both culturally and clinically safe services to First Nations community members.
