Sharon Mongta

2025 Fellow
Sharon Mongta is a proud Monero Ngarigo woman. She is an Aboriginal Case Manager at Wadja Aboriginal Family Place. She has extensive experience in providing clinical and culturally sensitive care and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families in a paediatric setting.
Sharon has held positions as a Social Worker focusing on Aboriginal Health at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. She has also provided cultural support to the community through her roles at The Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency and Ravenhall Correctional Centre, Forensicare as their inaugural Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Worker. She also provided support in the family violence sector as Family Violence Case Management Team Leader at Djirra.
Most recently Sharon has been a part of the teaching team in the Master of Social Work Indigenous Peoples subject based at The University of Melbourne.
Sharon was the recipient of a MACH Partner Organisation scholarship for this program.
