New  faces

Emily Munro-Harrison

We recently appointed Emily Munro-Harrison as the Indigenous Graduate Research Program Coordinator. Emily will work toward achieving our vision in supporting the academic growth of Indigenous PhD students within a culturally responsive context.

This position will provide nuanced academic support to the Faculty’s Indigenous PhD students, as well as build international engagement to foster a global scholarly context for our students throughout their candidature.

Hannah Fagan

We also appointed Hannah Fagan as the Communications and Projects Coordinator. Hannah will develop and deliver strategic communications and marketing solutions that support program delivery and build our profile.

This position will develop creative and engaging methods for ‘storying’ the Centre’s work, to capture our foundational principles of relationality and place.

We welcomed Janine Coombs, Wotjobaluk woman, to the Board. Janine has taken on the role of Strategic Advisory Board member, as Uncle Kevin Coombs OAM, Wotjobaluk Elder and cultural advisor steps back.


Congratulations to Dr David Gallant, Associate Lecturer in the Department of Social Work and casual Researcher with the Poche team, on his PhD graduation!

Congratulations to Warwick Padgham for his secondment to the Melbourne Law School's Indigenous Law and Justice Hub as Program Manager!

Congratulations to Pep (P├ęta) Phelan for her appointment to the Victorian Yoo-rrook Justice Commission as Director – Social and Emotional Wellbeing!
