Vale Emeritus Professor Glenn Bowes AO
Emeritus Professor Glenn Bowes was a treasured friend of the Melbourne Poche Centre and is remembered for his wise leadership and generous counsel and mentorship.

An exceptional physician and academic, Professor Bowes had a long and distinguished career in medicine, medical education and its administration.
In 2016, Professor Bowes was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) for distinguished service to medical education and its administration, to the advancement of child health and welfare, and through contributions to government and professional organisations.
Professor Bowes’ support of Indigenous leadership was visionary. He was integral to the establishment of the Melbourne Poche Centre and was the inaugural Chairperson of the Poche Advisory Board from 2015 to 2022.
He had a long standing positive and influential impact on the careers of many, including those at the Melbourne Poche Centre.
Glenn will be sadly missed.
